Bridget Cassidy

Bridget Cassidy is a freelance writer who lives and writes in Loveland, CO. In addition to writing for Women's Magazine, Bridget also works as a proposal writer for a Denver-based company and is finishing her master's degree in Public Communication and Technology from the Department of Journalism and Technical Communication at Colorado State University at Fort Collins. Bridget also won The Denver Post's 2009 Colorado Voices competition and will be published this fall. Prior to moving to Loveland and attending CSU in 2006, Bridget worked as a feature writer for two weekly newspapers in/by Colorado Springs.

Remember that chick in high school, missing the fear gene? While most girls were satisfied with a good slasher movie on Friday night, this chick made weekend plans to climb some mountain or cross some ocean, returning home in time for Sunday dinner. In psychology, this type is called a sensation-seeker. Thrill-seekers of the sports genre are women who seek out extreme experiences to test their limits against Mother Nature’s elements: air, fire, water and earth.
