Anne Knorr

My son recently told me that my black Labrador retriever and I were like twins. When I asked, “In what way?” he responded that we both like to be outdoors hiking almost every day, we enjoy a good meal and we will probably live to be 100, (15 ½ years in dog years). The likelihood of living to 100 has just increased now that both my son and daughter are past the teenage years. I am lucky to have them nearby, one at Colorado University and the other at Denver University. Professionally, I am a residential architect, a spiritual director and more recently a writer. My mom likes to remind me that being a writer was listed on the aptitude test I took in high school – leave it to a test to tell you who you’re going to be when you grow up. Though not listed on any aptitude test, travel has been a big part of my life and with retirement approaching in the not too distant future, my husband has a plethora of adventures planned for us. First on the list is boating up the inward passage from Vancouver to Alaska. Wherever we wander, I am always happy to come back to Colorado where I continue to discover new places here that make me grateful to call it home.
